Claire Wood

An ongoing curiosity and confusion about life, love and music goes some way to describe the songs of Claire Wood. Revelling in the highs of creativity and the lows of anticipation, she writes honestly and imaginatively about the feelings, events and people that have impacted her. She has produced an album that is both forthright and reflective. Her collection of songs are an expression of influences and afflictions that tell her story.

Most impressive when she is sitting alone at the piano, here she is convincing and assured, and we get the best view of her live performance skills. The last two years have seen Claire play in New York, London, Manchester's Swap Festival, and support Missy Higgins and Nerina Pallot in Glasgow's King Tut's.
